Consumer Law

Overview

When goods are defective or services fall short, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 gives consumers an accessible route to compensation. We represent consumers and businesses in complaints and appeals before consumer commissions.

We act in complaints relating to deficiency in service, defective goods, unfair trade practices and misleading advertisements, including disputes with builders, insurers, banks, hospitals, airlines and service providers.

For businesses, we defend consumer complaints and advise on terms, disclosures and complaint handling so that disputes are avoided or resolved early.
